Based in the "_The Junction_" area of Toronto, we are actively seeking a
dedicated, experienced, Weekend Dispatch Coordinator for a part time position.

The typical schedule for this position is Saturdays and Sundays 8am to 8pm.

The role will involve facilitating the timely pick-up and delivery of shipments while maintaining 24/7 communication with our esteemed customers and carriers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Handson dispatch operations for full truckload (FTL) freight moving throughout North America.
  • Display a strong sense of urgency when dealing with customers and account managers requiring dispatch updates.
  • Ensure carriers have the appropriate details/instructions for pickups and deliveries.
  • Update the TMS (transportation management system) with the appropriate load updates.
  • Communicate with Drivers, Shippers, Receivers and Account Managers to provide and ensure accurate tracking updates.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Selfmotivated and solid ability to work professionally and autonomously.
  • Superior customer service and communication skills (both spoken and written).
  • Excellent organizational and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to thrive while dealing with several tasks and multiple priorities.
  • Post-Secondary Education preferred

Experience:


  • Experience in a Call Centre or Telemarketing environment.
  • Experience within the transportation industry.
  • Understanding of the truckload freight transportation industry.
  • Knowledge of North American geography and roadways.

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 24 per week


Pay:
$16.00-$18.00 per hour
