About the Opportunity:


Working collaboratively and consultatively with the Director of Central Zone Covid-19 Response, the COVID Response Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic delivery of COVID response services within the assigned zone.

Areas of responsibility include managerial oversight of provincial Primary Assessment Centers, Screener Functions, and other COVID specific activities.

The Manager is responsible for the planning, organizing, and controlling of all aspects of operations and day to day management of COVID Response Services within the applicable zone.

The Manager applies strategic and analytical thinking to address challenges to achieve the ultimate goal of high quality, safe and cost-effective services to better support patient experience/outcome

The Manager exhibits sound professional judgment and initiative while working within the framework and objectives of the COVID Response Program and the Mission and Vision and Strategic Direction of the NSHA


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in a health related discipline
  • Five (5) years' recent experience in a leadership and/or management position with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resource and financial management within a unionized environment
  • Experience developing and facilitating strategies consistent with the principles of Organizational Health
  • Demonstrated proficiency in program planning, financial and human resource management, oral and written communication and interpersonal effectiveness
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic thinking and decisionmaking skills, with the ability to successfully change, adapt, overcome, and cope with unexpected challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships and collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external partners across the healthcare continuum
  • Demonstrated commitment to employee and selfdevelopment and continuous quality improvement
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

  • Fulltime long assignment, (100% FTE), 75 hours Biweekly

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $53.51 Hourly
