Position Overview:

We are looking for an Assistant Service Manager for our Service Department, which is currently composed of Electronic Security Technicians, Locksmith & Door Technicians, the Service Coordinator (Dispatcher), and the Service Manager.

One of the core responsibilities of this position is to provide technical support to our security technicians.

Our Service Manager has a strong grasp of electronic security, and therefore, we are looking for an Assistant Manager with a strong locksmith background who can provide our Locksmith & Door Technicians with training, support, and guidance.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical training, support, and guidance to technicians
Provide technical product specification and support to the Customer Service Team
Collaborate with the Service Coordinator (Dispatcher), warehouse personnel, and purchasing personnel to ensure accurate parts are ready for jobs prior to leaving the building
Provide backup support for critical functions to Service Manager
Act as a backup Service Coordinator (Dispatcher) for the Service Department when necessary.
Participate in monthly team meetings
Other duties as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skill, Abilities, and Other Requirements:

Strong technical knowledge pertaining to:
The installation and repair of commercial door hardware
The installation and repair of automatic door operators
The installation and service of electromechanical hardware
Lock installation, service, and rekeying
Low voltage wiring
Strong knowledge of commercial door hardware products (mechanical and electromechanical)
Familiar with fire rated opening requirements
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Good managerial and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience:

Locksmith Security Technician: 3 years

Job Type:

Permanent
Full Time (40 hours per week)

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Working Conditions:

Office environment
Warehouse environment
Assistant Manager may have to go out into the field from time to time (commercial, industrial, construction sites, etc.)

Location:

In office: 55 Queen's Plate Dr, Etobicoke, ON M9W 6P
The Assistant Service Manager may have to go out into the field from time to time (for example, to do ride a long with a technician).

Compensation:

- $ 75,000 - $ 85,000 per year (Commensurate with experience)
