The team:
What your day will look like:
- Develop and support implementation of effective press strategies that drive the corporate communication narrative
- Manage press release planning, development, and distribution (including collaborating with PR agency)
- Collaborate with regional marketing colleagues to establish, cultivate and grow positive media relations programs aligned with the corporate strategy
- Manage corporate byline program including pipeline development, research, writing briefs and editing
- Assist in coordinating press interviews, including spokesperson training and message development
- Contribute to developing a strong editorial calendar that promotes key business initiatives, corporate narratives, and overall brand awareness
- Manage the development and implementation of corporate communications policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
- Develop rapid fire responses to respond to industry developments
- Support global communications and marketing programs including product launches, press & analyst events, office launches and PR campaigns
- Help maintain corporate communications updates on company's website and intranet
- Track key projects and ensure coordination of project/deliverable timelines with key internal stakeholders including content, web, social media, product marketing, creative and internal communications
- Maintain and oversee global PR tracker, media coverage reports, and editorial calendars
- Seek out best practices and latest industry trends in PR
- Other related tasks as assigned
About you:
- 8+ years of communications experience (minimum 2 years in a B2B role)
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
- Proven experience in media relations and issues management
- True passion for communications, branding and lead generation. You are passionate about developing strategic communications programs that drive measurable business results
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working in a fastpaced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and work well with crossfunctional teams
- Demonstrated ability to take complex ideas and translate them into key messages and creative executions that resonate with employees and/or other stakeholders
- Experience in advising internal stakeholders on external communications best practices
- Ability to plan short, mid and longterm communication plans aligned to business goals
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience working in both corporate and regional/fieldbased marketing teams an asset
- Security industry experience an asset
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and experience with Project Management Software
