About the business and the role


Young & Young is an established importer/distributor of Asian grocery products supplying to supermarkets with brands that are familiar throughout the Asia Pacific.

We are proud of what we have achieved in growing Asian food categories in Canada, where we have a presence nationally, as well in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Japan.


To keep up with the demand and our expanding business, we are looking for a Sales Representative to join our team helping to maximize sales and expand our market share.


As one of our passionate Sales Representative, you will be:


  • Existing Customers and Reporting_
  • Visit customers as per schedules;
  • Place reorders with individual retailers as required to optimize stock levels;
  • Recommend new line opportunities;
  • Solicit additional stock orders where opportunities exist;
  • Attend to fixtures and maintain presentation standards to requirements;
  • Fill fixtures as required with reserve stocks from stockroom and capping;
  • Check date codes and rotate stock as required;
  • Identify outofstocks and follow up;
  • Check quality and appearance of stocks to ensure salability and report discrepancies that may be considered a product risk;
  • Check and report missing descriptive, flag tickets and store POS
  • Check store range compliance against applicable layout profiles;
  • Build layouts and relay stores as required;
  • Remove and credit stock where applicable;
  • Maintain effective business relationships with store managers/owners;
  • Report competitive new lines or activities being launched;
  • Regularly provide feedback in market (for example: market intelligent and parallel import);
  • Report achievements;
  • Follow specified safety procedures.

Promotional Activity_

  • Check monthly promotional program tieup against master file;
  • Build and ticket display as required;
  • Use product knowledge to seek instore promotional activities within available retail space.

Acquiring New Business_

  • Identify new business opportunities;
  • Make contact with potential customers;
  • Discuss opportunities with a view to commence.

To be successful you will need:

  • Full Canadian working rights;
  • Current Driver's License and own vehicle (car allowance will be provided);

Cantonese or Mandarin language skills are required to ensure strong communication with our clients;:

  • Experience in a sales or merchandising role is preferred;
  • Excellent time management and professional presentation;
  • Can do attitude and willingness to learn.

Salary:
From $23.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
