Rotation/Shifts:

Days, evenings and nights, including weekends, 8 and 12 hour shifts.

Basic Requirements:

Two (2) year Community College Diploma in Police Foundations and/or Security Management or equivalent;
Three (3) years' experience in the security, police, corrections, or military discipline;
CPR and Basic First Aid Certificates;
Ontario Security Guard License;
Ability to exercise sound judgement when responding to life safety/ emergency situations;
Ability to exercise discretion when dealing with information that may be confidential/personal/sensitive or in matters of political/legal/economic importance;
Ability to interact with a variety of individuals;
Ability to respond and set priorities to meet deadlines and attain goals;
Supervisory skills;
Knowledge of emergency and security principles;
Knowledge of the Patient Restraint Minimization Act and Health Care Consent Act;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to complete legible reports for presentation;
Basic investigative and observational skills;
Basic Fire Prevention and suppression skills;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Must be eligible to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications:

One (1) year experience in a health care setting;
Hazardous material recognition (HAZMAT);
Restraint and Use of Force training;
Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
