Key Accountabilities:

The Research Operations Manager will oversee all study operations, including but not limited to:

  • Liaise and collaborate with study investigators and stakeholders
  • Provide fiscal management and support the reporting obligations associated with the primary project and other projects, applicable
  • Monitor key performance and other indicators (e.g., participant recruitment)
  • Provide support to grantfunded projects related to the ongoing initiative
  • Work with the Research Operations, Services and Support Office departments to meet and maintain institutional, regulatory and department requirements, such as REB submissions, developing contracts/agreements, etc
  • Oversee and support knowledge mobilization activities, including activities such as conferences, workshops and special events as well as support in other Divisionwide initiatives
  • Assist in writing new grants and research protocols, as needed
  • Support the researching and writing of manuscripts and content related to presentations, as needed
  • Support the coordination of regular meetings and infrastructure to ensure deliverables are met
  • Manage all aspects of human resources including recruitment, hiring, training, and daily supervision of research staff and trainees; Oversee staff and proactively identify staff training needs, professional development needs and performance management
  • Ensuring compliance of research personnel with CAMH institutional and research policies, procedures and regulations

Qualifications:


  • Previous management experience is required
  • Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines & research governance of human participant research (ICH GCP, TCPS2, Health Canada regulations, FDA, etc.) is required
  • Experience with large scale clinical trials and/or multicentre studies is required; Certification as a Clinical Research Professional is considered an asset
  • Experience with the Canadian and U.S. funding landscape is required
  • Previous experience with neuropsychological and clinical assessments is considered an asset
  • Experience and knowledge of electronic data capture systems (e.g. REDCap) is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required
  • Wellhoned time management skills with the ability to efficiently multitask and produce highquality, accurate work while meeting deadlines, maintaining flexibility to changing priorities and remaining solutionfocused. Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects is ideal.
  • Highly detailoriented with demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and good judgment and effectively work independently while supporting a fastpaced, highfunctioning work environment and monitoring personal and teamlevel deliverables
