Who We Are Looking For
This role requires a senior IT Project Manager who can drive strategy and executes high-priority projects. Actively engage with the project team, client PMs, and BAs in defining the Project plan, key deliverables & milestones. The role requires a seasoned leader of cross-functional teams in various global locations.
Responsibilities of the Project Manager consist of, but are not limited to:
Ø
Stakeholders Management
- Develops and nurtures productive and collaborative relationships across all project stakeholders
- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Assist business units to effectively consult and engage stakeholders on relevant projects.
- Gather/facilitate status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule
- Ensure that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor/stakeholders
Project Time/Schedule/Quality Management
- Manage all phases of the project life cycle (Kick off, Discovery, Ensuring the gathering and documentation of requirements, Scope Confirmation, Design and build process flows, creating a Project Schedule, Resource allocation, build, testing and deployment) to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget requirements and quality standards.
- Ensure that the team has conducted the diligence to deliver a quality product without any compromises
Project Integration and Scope Management
- Manage the daytoday operational aspects for the Synechron Project team by facilitating agile scrum/activities, events, and meetings, including Kanban board and retrospectives.
- Assist the product owner with program, project, and product updates as well as backlog refining.
- Partner with team members to ensure clarity of needs and plan for changes, updates, and new products.
- Coach agile principles to various levels across the business, including stakeholders.
- Remove impediments or guide the team(s) to remove impediments by finding the right resources to address them.
Project Risk & Issue Management
- Take a proactive approach to manage and communicate risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, and provide identification, coordination, mitigation, or escalation as necessary
- Manage project conflicts, challenges, and dynamic business requirements to keep the team running at high performance
- Conduct postmortem and root cause analysis to help teams continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity
Project Human Resource & Communication Management (Relationships/Resourcing)
- Ensure crossfunctional coordination; build relationships and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to get alignment on common business/enduser/release goals
- Assist with Program Manager and resource management for the internal technology team and enterprisewide for enterprise project resources.
- Own and manage communication plans across projects, which may span multiple teams.
Project Cost Management
- Manage IT project financials project budget and forecast for IT resources, hardware, software, and labor.
- Closely monitor the Forecast vs the Actuals cost of the project and share weekly reports with all the stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of project management experience; Preferred with knowledge of the Retirement Insurance Domain
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Agile delivery methodology
- Demonstrated total ownership behavior and attitude
- Advanced written and oral communication skills
- Proven track record in business and vendor management function
- Proven ability to establish internal processes to successfully manage the execution of projects
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels within an organization
- Ability to promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork across functional and organizational boundaries to optimize results
- Adapt to utilizing MS Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and business intelligence tools
- Knowledge of the Retirement Insurance domain is a plus
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business management, project management, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred but not required

- PMP

Salary:
$65,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Montreal, QC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Project management: 10 years (preferred)
- Agile: 6 years (preferred)
