North Star Woodbridge (20 Can-Ar Gate, Woodbridge, ON L4H 5A2)


Shift/Hours:
Monday

  • Friday 6:00AM2:30PM or 7:00AM3:30PM (OT may be available/required)

Starting Wage:
$17.50/hr (increase to $18.00/hr after probationary period).

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly tasks such as drilling of components, placement of parts.
  • Ability to use measurement tools for accuracy.
  • Conduct quality checks at various stages of assembly.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify any issues that may impact production by notifying supervisors.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality procedures.
  • Maintain records of production activities, reporting missing components, incorrect parts, or inferior product quality.
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Various handling of materials, use of various power tools such as hand saw's, power drills, caulking guns, and some CNC equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Work Conditions

  • Flexibility in scheduling may be required to support production demand/important deadlines (i.e. available to work overtime, if required).
  • Physical ability to lift 50+lb.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to remain standing, crouching or bending for long periods of time.
  • Safety equipment required (i.e., Steeltoed safety boots, safety glasses etc.).

Critical Skills

  • 12 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in exterior construction materials.
  • Familiarity with various assembly techniques, including glass install, power drill, Quality inspection, and hand eye coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret various documents, diagrams, and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality orientation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively as assigned.
