Purpose:


Reporting to the Assistant Director, International Recruitment the Regional Recruitment Manager, South East Asia role manages a continuous development of a sound enrolment pipeline from South East Asia through the implementation of recruitment, communications, relationship development and enrolment management strategies.

The role requires extensive international travel to the region.

The role manages the day-to-day implementation and measurement of strategies designed to meet ambitious enrolment objectives including, client and institutional relationship management with the goal of:

- increasing enrollments
- managerial oversight of third-party representatives
- managing institutional and community relationships
- visiting target markets and arranging in-market event planning,
- developing relationships with external partners
- developing market specific research and analysis
- building business cases for new relationships designed to meet York's enrolment goals in South East Asia.


The role manages operational activities for South East Asia specific recruitment and enrolment including budgets, oversight of South East Asia specific admissions assessment staff, liaison and collaboration with colleagues across the university and post-secondary sector, assessing results at the end of each cycle, and identifying opportunities for improvement.


Education:

Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline, such as a Business Administration, Political Science, Finance or Education.


Experience:

5 years of related experience.
3 years of management experience.

Experience in international recruitment with specific experience recruiting in Southeast Asia, international recruitment and marketing, development programs, or project management.

Experience living or working abroad.
Experience in international recruitment and strategic enrolment management, communications, and strategy development.
Experience in developing and maintaining successful community partnerships.
Experience working within the post-secondary international education sector.
Experience with large record management systems like MSAccess, CRM Dynamics, SIS.
Experience working with CRM's preferred.


Knowledge:

Knowledge of international student markets and trends, needs of international students and international key influencers.

Please note:

This position requires the canddiate to produce a verification of degree(s), credential(s), or equivalences from accredited institutions and/or international equivalents at the time of interview.

Required to travel internationally to Southeast Asia between 10-14 weeks per year with significant evening and weekend work.
Valid 'G' driver's license and valid passport required.

Compensation:


York's CPM Compensation Framework has a salary grid consisting of 6 or 8 steps (depending on job grade) which is reviewed annually with possible adjustments, and a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award.

Employees will receive the grid adjustment and depending on performance, eligible permanent employees may move to the next step of the grid and may receive a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award.
