What will you work on?


Reporting to the CFO with a cross-report to the President of Entertainment, this role is responsible for providing financial oversight and stewardship for all aspects of the Entertainment Creative Centre.

The VP, Entertainment Finance will closely collaborate with both the corporate finance team and Entertainment leadership group, serving as a trusted advisor and business partner to a variety of stakeholders within the organization.


How will you create impact?

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee all Entertainment financial monthly, quarterly and annual reporting in line with internal timelines, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements; monitor and explain key variances. Monitor internal and third party royalty reporting ensuring that all contractual reporting obligations are fulfilled.
  • FPA/Treasury: Lead the development of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and fiveyear financial plans for the Entertainment Creative Centre, working with departmental leads. Provide actionable analysis and insights into how financial plans support the Company's strategic objectives and drive profitability. Prepare and deliver executive presentations to secure required approvals, working closely with FPA and Treasury teams.
  • Business Support and

Operational Finance:
Serve as a key business partner to the President of Entertainment and the broader Entertainment leadership group. Translate financial data into actionable insights to inform business decisions and drive process improvements. Provide monthly reporting to department leads. Provide input to key contracts for development, production, distribution, LM, music, and marketing. Partner with executives to create finance plans for production greenlights.

  • Technical Accounting: Provide guidance on material transactions and complex accounting issues and ensure adherence to relevant accounting principles, partnering with technical accounting team and external consultants. Monitor and review revenue recognition matters and ensure processes are followed in conformance with IFRS.
  • Internal Controls and Audit: Build a strong internal control mindset and ensure internal controls over financial reporting, internal authority levels and other policies and procedures are developed and maintained in line with public company audit standards. Manage the external audit process for the Entertainment Creative Centre and address any audit findings.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • General: Provide support to the CFO and President Entertainment on all financial and business support matters for the Entertainment creative centre. Supporting strategic analysis as required for the Entertainment executive team and senior corporate Finance team.

What are your skills and experience?

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a publicly traded company.
  • Strong understanding of operational finance principles, with experience in the entertainment industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, internal controls, audit management, and technical accounting.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with senior executives and influence strategic decisionmaking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to nonfinancial stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience leading and developing highperforming teams in a dynamic and fastpaced environment
