Located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, West Vancouver is a vibrant community on the North Shore and home to parks, beaches, and to sports, recreation and arts amenities. We are seeking employees with a passion for public service who share our commitment to creating a complete, inclusive and livable community. Our dedicated staff deliver services, operate facilities and run the programs that enhance the wellbeing of our community.

Applicants must have:
- Ÿ Experience with operating trucks; Ÿ

The ability to deal with the public in a courteous and effective manner;
- Ÿ Sufficient physical strength, stamina and coordination to permit the performance of manual outdoor work in all types of weather;
- Ÿ General knowledge concerning safe use of landscape maintenance equipment and tools;
- Ÿ An aptitude/interest in Parks operations; and,
- Ÿ Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver's License for the Province of BC.

Position Status:
Union (WVMEA) / Temporary Full-Time

Hours of Work:
40 hours per week (Days of work for this position may include weekends) and hours will be 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Starting Rate of Pay:
$29.84 plus 14% in lieu of benefits

(This position has a pay structure with three steps which increase after certain hours.)
