Role Description
Reporting to our Senior Project Managers, the Project Coordinator is responsible to support in planning, executing and closing of projects through the coordination of various project activities.
Responsibilities:
- Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements
- Develop proposals, statement of qualifications and presentations to deliver materials meeting RFP requirements, quality standards and overall strategy.
- Assist with drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP's, tenders, budgets, cash flows, and preliminary schedules
- Prepare project organization and communication charts
- Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades
- Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets, and expenditures
- Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team
- Issue Contracts, Letters of Intent, Purchase Orders, etc.
- Assist in the review of Contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval
- Track & manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database
- Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained
- Communicate ideas for improving company processes
- Keep the Project Manager and other stakeholders informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations
Key Competencies:
- Knowledge of the building development stages and requirements
- Familiarity with construction methods and building codes
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively both independently and in a teambased environment
- Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Good problem solving and ability to solve arithmetic problems quickly and accurately
- Demonstrates willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Logical thinker with strong business acumen
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering (specialization in structural and/or construction management preferred)
- Technical College Diploma/CET.
- General construction experience is also an asset.
- Proficiency with MS Projects and
Microsoft Suite:
Word, Excel and Outlook are required
Employment Conditions:
- Class 5 Drivers, with a clear abstract history for travel between office and worksites. A company vehicle is available for use. (We will consider a GED).
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada.
Job Type and Schedule:
- Full-Time
- Reports to Senior Project Manager
- Monday to Friday, 8.5hour shift which includes two 15 minute paid breaks and 30 min unpaid lunch.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Salary range for this position is $64,500 84,000.
- Comprehensive benefit package including RRSP matching (after completion of a 3month probationary period).

$64,500.00-$84,000.00 per year
