About the Role:


In a compassionate, hospitable and non-judgmental manner the Wellness Coordinator will be responsible for assisting HOMES tenants become engaged in the Steps to Health Program.

Under direct supervision of the Steps to Health Facilitator, responsibilities will include coordinating, engaging, planning and assisting in facilitating programs designed to support improved health and nutrition for HOMES tenants.


What We Look For

  • Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
  • Current enrollment in a related postsecondary program at a recognized University/College
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
  • Have an ability to work from an antiracist/antioppressive approach
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must provide a valid current Vulnerable Sector Police Check
  • Excellent communication, teambuilding, negotiating and problemsolving skills
  • Some knowledge of community resources for families
  • Fluency in French and/or a language in addition to English is an asset
  • Meet all of the guidelines set out by the Government for the Canadian Summer Jobs Program
