Job Summary:
Co-op Student - ERM Department


Job Summary:


CSA Group has an immediate opportunity for a co-op student in the Enterprise Risk Management department, reporting to the Manager, Corporate Insurance and BCM.

In this role, you will support the ERM team to develop, implement, and execute the elements of CSA's ERM program including operational risk management, strategic risk management, business continuity management (BCM), crisis management, and corporate insurance.

This is a full-time paid position ideal for a current student or recent graduate.

The contract duration is from May to December In this position, you will gain broad exposure to the different operating units of CSA Group and take an active role in improving risk management across the organization to support growth.


Responsibilities:


  • Insurance
  • Coordinate generation of Certificates of Insurance for overall business needs
  • Gather insurance underwriting information and assemble Corporate Insurance renewal packages
  • Assist in the review of insurance clauses in contracts
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of SOP documentation
  • Support process improvement initiatives
  • Business Continuity Planning
  • Support the update of contact information and other items within the various business continuity plans
  • Assist in scheduling and convening of inperson and/or virtual meetings
  • Help with the delivery of tabletop exercises with notetaking and report preparation
  • Support the development of training and educational materials
  • Assist in the tracking and followup of remediation items
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of documentation
  • Support process improvement initiatives
  • Enterprise Risk Management
  • Assist in the planning and facilitation of risk workshops to identify and assess principal risks and controls across CSA Group's business units and corporate functions
  • Maintain information on risks and controls within the ERM risk register using ERM software
  • Support risk monitoring activities including identifying changes to risks and controls, emerging trends, and development of new controls
  • Assist in the preparation of risk reporting information for executive leadership and the Board
  • Assist in the development of training and educational materials
  • Support process improvement initiatives, including the development and maintenance of procedural documentation

Education:


Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program related to a field of risk management such as insurance, enterprise risk management, strategic and operational risk management, or business continuity.

Other disciplines could be considered based on knowledge and background. Applicants must be currently enrolled or recent graduates seeking co-op terms. Completion or working towards certification in Project Management, Certificate Insurance Professional, or Canadian Risk Management etc. would be an asset.
