Role Summary


The Pricing Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the commercial sales and trade investment strategy by conducting beer revenue reporting and analysis.

This involves enhancing trade spending allocation per customer, ensuring the accuracy of revenue forecasts and profit Projections, and developing recommendations and solutions to enhance the Carlsberg portfolio's presence in the trade within the assigned sales region.


Accountabilities:


  • Analyze sales volume and revenue performance against budget and forecasts, examining trends and variances by SKU and brand families, and provide insights and recommendations to optimize revenue and expenses.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Sales and Logistics to determine monthly provincial sales volume and financial forecasts, making necessary adjustments.
  • Manage the provincial price promotion account, including overseeing accruals, expense authorization, detailed analysis, and presenting cost center saving proposals and customer Profit & Loss statements to key account managers.
  • Collaborate with finance to establish the annual provincial budget for beer revenue, price promotion, sales volume, and cost center accounts and gross margin analysis.
  • Develop contract models and provide analytical support to the sales team for negotiating agreements and monitoring regional budgets per customer group (e.g., cstores vs chains).
  • Create and maintain analytical tools to support various sales initiatives.
  • Identify sales revenue control risk areas, develop, and implement profitability matrix by banner, by brand, by format, by channel and by sku.
  • Prepare monthly reports and provide analysis in support of Sales processes, such as sales meeting while attending weekly SMAC Alignment calls with local partners, organizing presentation decks for QBR's.
  • Monitor and manage expense and revenue levels according to budget and financial planning.
  • Collaborate with Finance to enhance sales financial reporting capabilities and foster internal relationships.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5 years of financial analysis and reporting experience within a sales environment.
  • University/College Degree Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting. CPA designation or actively pursuing it.
  • Familiarity with Carlsberg products and market operations.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Demonstrated time management abilities, capable of managing deadlines, interruptions, and shifting priorities effectively.
  • Skilled in multitasking, problemsolving, and maintaining positive interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office with intermediate Excel and Access skills.
  • Experience with CRM, BI, or ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft CRM, Power BI) is advantageous.
  • Ability to align with and promote the organization's values.
