ScaleRx is a mail order pharmacy servicing Canada wide telemedicine providers. We are inclusive and agile and offer a personalized mail-order experience to our patients. We strive to provide quick and accessible care to our Canadian patients. We are looking for a full or part time pharmacy technician to work in the mail-order dispensary ScaleRx.

The technician would have access to other pharmacists and technicians for questions and concerns as well as support from management.

Structured Practical Training (SPT) is the practice-based training requirement for registration as a pharmacy technician in Ontario.

The SPT Program allows pharmacy technician applicants to develop their competence and demonstrate their readiness for practice in Ontario by:


  • Establishing collaborative relationships with other health care professionals
  • Improving professional judgment through experience
  • Refining communication and problemsolving skills
  • Gaining new knowledge and understanding of pharmacy practice issues in Ontario
  • Developing selfassessment skills on the road to lifelong learning
The program is completed under the supervision of a qualified preceptor.


Major responsibilities include:


  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician program from an accredited community college
  • Related pharmacy experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize limitations of scope of practice
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medications
  • Eligible to register for Structured Practical Training (SPT) with Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
  • Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing pharmacy operations
  • Rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends

Schedule:

Full time, 12 weeks rotation
