We currently have an exciting opportunity for an

Ingredient Control/ Storesperson to join our

Food Service team.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that safe food handling practices are in place at all stages of food handling.
Receives and stores all supplies delivered to the department, maintains the storerooms in a clean, orderly manner and completes the paperwork required for these transactions.
Works with the Purchasing Supervisor on all aspects of department purchasing systems.
Takes inventories and assembles and pulls products for the production areas.
Maintains refrigerators / freezers in a clean and orderly manner and removes cardboard and other garbage as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High school Graduate or equivalent.
One year previous experience in hot and cold food preparation in an institutional or restaurant setting required.
Related experience working in stores/receiving area preferred.
Minimum of 3 years hospital food service experience, including knowledge of HACCP and safe food handling (Safe food handling certificate required).
Good basic Mathematical skills required.
Good command of English language both verbal and written required.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
Good problem solving and communication skills and ability to work independently and as a member of a team required.
Should be able to lift 2.5 to 30kgs and work in cold temperatures.
Should be able to prioritize a varied workload and focus on small details of each transaction.
Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
