Ingredient Control/ Storesperson to join our

Food Service team.

Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that safe food handling practices are in place at all stages of food handling.
  • Receives and stores all supplies delivered to the department, maintains the storerooms in a clean, orderly manner and completes the paperwork required for these transactions.
  • Works with the Purchasing Supervisor on all aspects of department purchasing systems.
  • Takes inventories and assembles and pulls products for the production areas.
  • Maintains refrigerators / freezers in a clean and orderly manner and removes cardboard and other garbage as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • High school Graduate or equivalent.
  • One year previous experience in hot and cold food preparation in an institutional or restaurant setting required.
  • Related experience working in stores/receiving area preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years hospital food service experience, including knowledge of HACCP and safe food handling (Safe food handling certificate required).
  • Good basic Mathematical skills required.
  • Good command of English language both verbal and written required.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Good problem solving and communication skills and ability to work independently and as a member of a team required.
  • Should be able to lift 2.5 to 30kgs and work in cold temperatures.
  • Should be able to prioritize a varied workload and focus on small details of each transaction.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
