Who We Are

The Archives and Records Management Department (ARMD) manages and preserves recorded information for use by university staff, faculty, students, visiting researchers, and members of the general public.

Our work supports an understanding of the past, present, and future while balancing the roles, rights, and responsibilities of all those affected by the recorded information in our care.

About the Role

The Records Centre Assistant (RCA) provides operational support to the Records Management Program and is responsible for picking-up, receiving, lifting, shelving, pushing, pulling, and stacking boxes of records in the Universities three record centres located on the Burnaby Mountain campus.

In addition, the RCA is responsible for processing the paperwork that documents the transfer and retrieval of files and boxes; updating departmental databases that track the location of files and boxes; providing administrative support to ARMD by ordering and maintaining office supplies, maintaining office equipment, completing month end financial reporting, updating departmental websites, and completing digitization requests.
