What can I expect to do in this role?: You will:
- schedule and assign work to meet deadlines
- provide orientation and training to staff
- ensure confidentiality of documents, processes and procedures
- provide advice, consultation and guidance on services and resolution of service problems
- prepare letters, reports, manifests and waybills
- reconcile invoices, analyze costs and prepare allocations for recovery purposes
- ensure mail and courier are properly completed and postage meter heads have sufficient funds available
- ensure proper equipment maintenance and set up maintenance schedules
How do I qualify?:
Leadership Skills:
- you have leadership skills to coordinate the daily activities of operation staff
- you have experience identifying training needs as well as providing training and orientation
- you have experience managing and troubleshooting Canada Post, Purolator or related shipping systems and equipment
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- you have oral communication and interpersonal skills to respond to inquiries in a tactful and diplomatic manner
- you have the ability to provide comprehensive explanations and clearly convey information to staff clients and suppliers
- you have written communication skills to prepare a variety of material such as letters, reports, manifests and waybills
Analytical and Problem Solving Skills:
- you have problem solving skills to investigate, assess and respond to service issues and complaints and determine the appropriate courses of action
- you have analytical skills to reconcile invoices, analyze costs and prepare allocations for recovery purposes
Computer Skills:
- you can set up accounting codes in metering machines to print month-end summaries
