Entity and activity description

The main responsibility of a shipping clerk is to process outbound shipments from the DC warehouse to our internal Air Liquide satellite locations and customers.

A shipping clerk's job is to make sure that the shipment of all products,

materials are in order and to verify shipment accuracy before they are shipped with couriers or picked up by customers.

This individual works with logistics technicians from various couriers to coordinate pickups in an efficient and timely manner and to
create bills of ladings for each designated courier. They are also required to assist customers with their pickups from the warehouse as needed.


Missions and Responsibilities

  • Process orders in Oracle to obtain packing slips
  • Obtain & include certificates of conformance for designated welding materials
as applicable

  • Verify piece count accuracy for shipping
  • Create bills of lading for designated couriers, call the couriers for pickup
and/or submit pickup requests through the couriers online web portals

  • Assist couriers and customers with loading of various welding products
  • Filing of waybills & packing slips in an organized manner so they can be
recalled easily for auditing & accuracy verification purposes

  • Problem solve and assist in correcting shipping errors

Competencies and Profile

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in work experience
  • Strong aptitude in learning Oracle & general computer skills
  • Must have excellent attention to detail as well as efficient time management and organizational skills
  • Work efficiently in a team environment
  • Strong english language comprehension
