Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Manager, Translation Services in the Corporate Communications and Marketing department, based in Toronto, the Translator will be integral to helping us communicate effectively and accurately to clients and colleagues in both official languages.
The primary responsibility of the Translator is to assist with translating a great variety of internal and external documents (From English to French).
The Translator will also assist with the technology tools and terminology efforts.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Translate from English to French, using a translation memory software and an AI software, a wide range of materials (including marketing brochures and campaigns, articles, website content, presentations, IT notifications, newsletters, etc.) in compliance with established standards and processes;
- Postedit translations skillfully while ensuring formatting is correct;
- Revise or perform quality control on content translated by colleagues or external vendors;
- Perform terminology research and contribute to the enrichment of terminology glossary;
- Keep track of requests and monitor projects to ensure timely delivery of French content;
- Ensure adherence to procedures, processes and guidelines regarding legal translation, and specialized translation;
- Import into our CAT tool existing translated documents for alignment;
- Edit content in AI software;
- Proofread documents in French produced internally;
- Provide a high level of client service;
- Other duties as assigned.

Educational/ Previous Experience Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience;
- Degree in Translation.
