Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Logistics-Supply function to define and execute lean, reliable material flows from dock to point of use.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies as part of a comprehensive working capital improvement plan.
- Create and maintain a shopload plan for the production section "noncadencé," ensuring alignment with production demands.
- Analyze supply and demand patterns to develop solutions that achieve optimal inventory management goals.
- Define and document handling equipment specifications from the loading dock to the workstations.
- Define and document production kits to streamline assembly processes.
- Engage and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Logistics-Supply, Methods, Plant Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Quality.
- Contribute actively to improvement projects such as Achieving Excellence System, 5S, lean manufacturing, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and successful project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations & Logistics Management, or College Diploma with equivalent experience.
- Two to five years of relevant experience in logistics or production planning.
- Previous experience in the automotive or aerospace industry is an asset.
- Strong interest in continuous improvement and proficiency in lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken French and English is an asset.
- Proficient use of Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
- Familiarity with SAP is an asset.
Key Skills Required:
- Coordinate internal material flows by working closely with expeditors and production employees.
- Participate in material planning processes and provide contingency plans for missing parts.
- Attend daily morning meetings (DMM) to communicate planned and unplanned shortages.
- Manage and plan the work of internal suppliers.
- Prepare and validate documentation at various workstations.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional stakeholders to improve internal material flow management.
- Ensure ontime delivery of parts to production positions through process enhancements.
- Actively participate in improvement projects, contributing to initiatives such as Achieving Excellence System, 5S, and lean manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal teams.
