About the Events Coordinator

  • The Events Coordinator is a valuable member of the Foundation's Community Partnerships & Events team.
  • This role involves helping to build the Foundation's presence in our community through supporting fundraising events that drive the Foundation's strategic priorities to increase revenue, build capacity and expand our donor base through broader community engagement.
  • Under the leadership of the Director, the Events Coordinator will support the planning, execution and delivery of the Foundation's flagship and partnership events. The Coordinator will also provide support and guidance to all community fundraisers that host events benefitting The Royal. Additionally, the Coordinator will aid in the execution of events initiated by the Philanthropy team to acquire, cultivate, and steward donors across all segments and constituent types.
  • As the Events Coordinator they boast a background in event management, nonprofit management, business administration, or a related discipline. They have knowledge of the changing nonprofit landscape and keep up to date on opportunities and challenges as they relate to our field of work.
Key Areas of Responsibility

Community Fundraising & Events

  • Support and steward a pipeline of 3050 community fundraisers.
  • Support communityled fundraisers by assisting with their planning and promotion, representing the
  • Foundation at events as needed, ensuring adherence to relevant policies, and supporting their recognition and stewardship.
  • Support the successful execution of all key Foundation events, including fundraising, cultivation, stewardship, and volunteer events, by providing event production knowledge and skills.
  • Provide ongoing administrative support to sponsors, ensuring fulfillment of benefits and demonstration of impact.
  • Provide volunteer support to fundraising committees including: keeping minutes, scheduling meetings, preparing and distributing agendas and materials, updating prospect lists etc.
  • Coordinate Foundation volunteers to support community fundraisers where appropriate.
Strategy, Planning & Operations

  • Collaborate with the Director and Community Partnerships & Events team to align fundraising and awareness event strategies with the Foundation's strategic, operational and campaign goals.
