Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Dispatcher partners with the Dispatch group and internal clients to drive forward our purpose of providing Peace of Mind to our clients and our employees.

The Role


As a Dispatcher, you will be primarily responsible for organizing dispatches of Traffic Control Plans for various job sites and working in compliance with all legal and safety requirements regarding the safe control of traffic and flagging personnel.

Additionally, this position is responsible for administrative duties and any other tasks assigned by the Operations Manager to support the functions of Traffic Operations.


What you will do:


  • Ensure clients are provided with the very best traffic control service to protect workers, the public and our Employees
  • Investigate and analyze concerns from clients, public and Employees. Reports any incidents as required to the proper channels depending on the situation at hand
  • Ensure traffic control capabilities to meet or exceed requirements for cost, quality, delivery, safety and responsiveness
  • Accurately enter all requests for staffing at job sites into a computerbased program as required
  • Check various Traffic Management Plan's and determines supply requirements for the job and reports to the Fleet/Warehouse Manager
  • Track all requests for Employee leave and time off to ensure optimum levels of staff are available for job requirements
  • Assist with Special Events and works closely with the Coordinator to ensure proper staff and equipment levels are available for the clients.
  • Additional tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of Traffic Management Plans and the Traffic Control Manual for Work on Roadways developed by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace Applications; Gmail, Docs, and Sheets
  • Professional telephone skills and mannerisms
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight time constraints
  • Dependability and available for flexible working hours
  • Previous dispatching experience is considered an asset
