is a National Company with plants located in British Columbia, Ontario, Nova Scotia and the states of Iowa and Texas, manufacturing numerous types of food packaging.
Our Hantsport, Nova Scotia location is looking to hire a Human Resources Coordinator to provide support to all areas of the Human Resources Department.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an amazing team where you will gain HR experience in a fast-paced work environment by supporting and improving HR functions.
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the HR Coordinator will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:- Implementation of the Performance Management System (provides guidance, training, administrative issues).
- Implementation of the Attendance Management Program (collecting and analyzing absenteeism data, attendance awards, tracking absences, coordinating interviews, preparing documentation etc.).
- Administration of the Apprenticeship Program.
- Administration of Company policies.
- Administration of Human Resources reporting (Turnover, CPI, and ad hoc reporting)
- Provide support for general administrative duties of the Human Resources Department (Organizational Charts, publication of job postings, notices, manage electronic bulletin board, event invitations)
- Provide assistance in any special projects or coordination of special events (retirements, 25year club, plate sales etc.)
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certificate in Human Resources/Office/Business Administration
- Minimum of three years' administrative experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Must have experience or exposure to HRIS systems
- Exceptional Time management with the ability to excel in a demanding, highpace environment, highly detailoriented and flexible to changing priorities
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), with special focus on client service and highest degree of professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Strong team player with a high level of personal integrity
- Exceptional technology skills, with proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office. Keyboarding skills are essential.
- Working experience in coordinating Attendance Management programs is considered an asset.
