Position Summary:


  • Perform 2D, mmode, color flow echocardiograms for noninvasive diagnosis and assessment of cardiovascular disease in adults, children and infants at any of the THP sites
  • Assist with transesophageal echoes (TEE's) and contrast studies
  • Maintain accurate records of tests performed
  • Assist with statistical data and quality assurance for echo lab
  • Ensure equipment is functioning properly and maintain adequate supplies
  • Maintains a safe work environment for coworkers, patients and visitors
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize use of available resources
  • Ensure a patientcentered environment

Qualifications:

THP is committed to internal talent, and therefore priority will be given to internal applicants.

  • Current Registration with a recognized credentialing organization (CARDUP/ARDMS)
  • Must be registered with CMRITO and on an annual basis
  • Practical experience in adult echocardiography required
  • Practical experience in paediatric echocardiography is an asset
  • Experience with stress echocardiograms is an asset
  • Experience with transesophageal echocardiograms and contrast echocardiograms is an asset
  • Current BCLS CPR certification
  • Ability to work independently as well as a member of a dynamic team
  • Demonstrated effective decision making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with excellent patient care skills and service excellence attitude is essential
  • Strong organizational skills combined with effective problem solving abilities
  • Positive work and attendance record is essential
