You Are:

UST is searching for an Associate Data Scientist I who will develop data-driven solutions for difficult business challenges. Utilizing analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets, with supervision.


The Opportunity:


  • This is an independent contributor role from day 1 and should be able to work at the client site from day
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data from our customers to create models that can generate business insights
  • Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms to analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
  • Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques, business strategies, etc.
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
  • Set FAST goals and provide feedback on the FAST goals of reportees
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.


What you need:


  • 5+ years of experience in developing scalable distributed machine learning systems
  • Should be extremely good at communication and be able to manage conflicts constructively and proactively
  • Should be selfdriven and be able to take ownership of tasks end to end
  • Should have a researcher's attitude
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying machine learning models and algorithms for time series data analysis, e.g., anomaly detection and forecasting.
  • Expertise in Python programming and machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, Scikitlearn, and Pandas.
  • Strong understanding of time series models such as ARIMA, SARIMA, Prophet, and LSTM, and experience in building custom models.
  • Experience with anomaly detection techniques:
  • Python, machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and Pandas
  • Models: ARIMA, SARIMA, Prophet, and LSTM
  • A master's degree in business or a technical discipline (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering) is required.
