This philosophy can be seen in every aspect and level of our home.A day in the role of Receptionist at The Wellington Nursing & Retirement Home.**As a Recpetionist at The Wellington Nursing & Retirement Home, you will be given high expectations, as well as an expectation to continue personal growth and professional growth. In this position, you will be gifted with a rewarding experience every day in the form of being able to see the exact impact you place on our residents.
As a Receptionist, you will report directly to the Reception Manager.
This position is responsible for but not limited to:
- Managing incoming calls
- Managing and distributing incoming and out going mail for residents and staff
- Assist residents where necessary, ie. signing in and out for appointments, arranging transportation
- Providing administrative support to the Executive Director and other managers
- Assisting with billing and mail outs, photocopying sign in sheets, updating staff directory etc.
- Ensure tea area & lobby are neat and tidy, replenishing masks
- Other duties as assigned
Must be available weekends, stat holidays, vacation and sick day coverage Mon-Sun (no evening shifts are available for this position)
Qualifications

The qualifications needed to join our family at The Wellington Nursing & Retirement Home are as follows:
- High School Diploma
- Previous experience in a geriatric social related field is an asset
- Well developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact efficiently and courteously with residents, public, employees, and volunteers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Second language is an asset
Must have a clear vulnerable sector screen, no older than 6 months, TB test results less than 6 months old, must be able to provide three supervisory references
