Work Description
As a Museum Attendant, you may have the opportunity to work on some or all of the following activities:

  • Welcome visitors, conduct tours, and provide information.
  • Provide care and maintenance of exhibits.
  • Respond to requests for group/bus tours and/or special events.
  • Conduct security checks for visitors to the building.
  • Be responsible for opening and closing the exhibits.
  • Maintain records for admissions, and manage cash and complete transactions.
  • Provide community outreach in support of programming.
  • Participate in the design, development, and delivery of public programs.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and manage assigned work.

How do I qualify?:


Mandatory:
You must meet all eligibility criteria by the first day of employment (contracts begin between May and July):

Age:
You must be a minimum of 15 years of age. There is no maximum age limit.


Residency:
You must be a resident of Ontario during the term of employment.


Work Status:
You must be legally entitled to work in Canada. You are also required to have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) upon being hired.
