We work with clients in the oil and gas, mining, construction, coastal logging, military and defense sectors. Coverage is as diverse as offshore oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, to coastal logging camps in B.C., to construction camps in the Alberta Oil Sands. Facilities are located within drill camps, mining camps, construction camps, pipeline camps, oil and gas installations and correctional facilities.

Full-time hours on rotation schedule 15 days on - 13 days off

Job Summary:

Now, if you were to come on board as a
Chef Manager, we'd ask you to do the following for us:

  • Supervise services regarding buildings, equipment, janitorial, and grounds maintenance.
  • Procure subcontractor services, schedule installations, and oversee repairs.
  • Implement preventative programs per sitespecific systems, equipment, and building maintenance.
  • Ensure implementation of safety regulations and programs.
  • Maintain records for equipment inspections, rotational work assignments, and overtime allowances.
  • Manage budgetary needs, monitor expenditures, and take corrective action when needed.
  • Evaluate operations for quality and effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Review financial reports, recognize variations, and provide corrective actions to achieve budget.
  • Ensure that all legislative requirements are met, involving construction, installation, fire, safety and sanitation.

Here's how we'll know you will be successful:

  • Degree or diploma in engineering, business administration, or property management preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a commercial or institutional facility.
  • Knowledge of facilities management, including: heating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, equipment, janitorial, and information technology.
  • Proven experience in project management, procurement, contracts, bids, and quotes.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) in French and English.
