Responsibilities:

This is a specialized material management position intended to support the manufacturing environment within the Service Centre.

Employee will be working under normal Service Centre levels of supervision and plant instructions, and through on-the-job training and specialized company-sponsored formal training where required, the incumbent will be involved with various work processes and specific tasks required to ensure a clean, efficient and safe working environment.

He or she will familiar with local and Company policies and practices related to his/her employment with Andritz Ltd.

He or she will have established skills necessary to perform a wide range of basic warehousing and material management tasks related to the repair and overhaul of centrifuges, gear assemblies, and other manufactured or remanufactured parts.


Activities/tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Supervising unionized warehouse employees.
  • Ensures that warehouse is ready for annual physical inventory.
  • Supervises and controls annual physical inventory
  • Entering requisitions for MRO items.
  • Use of computerized material management ERP systems
  • Follow up and expediting of purchase orders for material required for repair orders
  • Traffic and Customs documentation and liaison with traffic department in Arlington
  • Day to day coordination of freight
  • Recommends logistic carrier selections
  • Arranges warehouse and shop floor stocking locations and quantities
  • Suggests changes to stocking levels
  • Cycle counting and cycle count corrective actions
- "Finds stuff" in the closed warehouse

  • Electronically receives materials into the ERP system
  • Simple parts receiving inspections
  • Occasionally delivery or pickup of materials

Education, Experience &
Training:


  • Minimum Secondary School Graduation Diploma
  • Ability to demonstrate a good work ethic
  • Good computer skills using basic Microsoft software programs and working knowledge of our ERP systems.
  • Working knowledge of Canada Customs documentation and regulations
  • Working knowledge of freight suppliers and arrangements
  • Capable of undertaking warehouse physical duties
