Responsibilities:


  • Develop relationships with clients, facilitate collaboration, and have the ability to influence informally across different departments within the team.
  • Program and manage access cards and system.
  • Track and report on program performance assurance and compliance requirements within the provided guidelines.
  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot, while monitoring access.
  • Watch for unusual activity and respond immediately and safely to emergency situations onsite.
  • Contact the police or fire department if and when there is an emergency
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property
  • Prepare reports on accidents, incidents and suspicious activities
  • Provide assistance to employees and create a safe and friendly environment for visitors and clients in a professional manner
  • Attend project meetings upon request to assess the security implications of proposed changes
  • Work independently and adapt to various workpaces while always maintaining a highlevel of attentiveness and energy

Qualifications:


  • 3 Year previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields is required.
  • Exceptional Customer Service is required.
  • Commercial experience is a must.
  • Familiarity with security equipment.
  • Previous Military, Policing or Police Foundations background preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old licensing guidelines
  • Must live within driving distance or be willing to relocate
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to create detailed incident reports
  • CPR and First Aid Training

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 30 per week


Salary:
$25.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

Ontario Security Guard: 3 years (required)
Commercial Security: 1 year (required)

  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Ontario Security Guard Licence (required)
  • Are you able to work 1pm to 7pm Mon to Friday (required)
  • Are you able to work in Downtown Toronto (required)
