Position Summary:


Reporting to the Manager, Asset Management, this position supports the asset-life cycle management and strategic decision-making ability of ADTS management team through the collection and governing of data from our Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System Maximo.

The position will be focused on developing and supporting maintenance strategies and changes to work programs, processes and/or procedures.

The role is also responsible for providing system advice in effort to drive high reliability from our airport systems and infrastructure using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Guide partners and their vendors/consultants to ensure timeliness and format quality of capital project in accordance with asset commissioning, asset decommissioning, and EAM system requirements
  • Maintain line of sight on all Capital and O & M Projects status to ensure a general understanding of the work being done and act as EAM Partner in translating impact of projects on existing work program(s) and asset database
  • Review of Capital and O&M objectives and highlighting of any issues to both the system Functional and Asset Management Manager(s)
  • Guide Functional and Asset Management managers to ensure that all their assets and work program requirements are adequately collected in the EAM system
  • Identify gaps in asset inventory, work programs and/or potential opportunities for efficiencies through EAM reporting and analysis
  • Provide system advice and administrative support in developing and implementing action plans with the Functional and Asset Managers Teams to address gaps and/or potential opportunities for efficiencies in work programs, asset inventory and/or work programs
  • Effect continual improvement of data by performing regular analysis and correction
  • Create, modify, and maintain task descriptions, classifications, assets, job plans, and failure classes
  • Ensure compliance to GTAA Hierarchy, Classification, and SCBD standards when adding or updating assets within the system to support true cost of ownership reporting, accurate asset reliability analysis and maintain a consistent database structure)
  • Set up and modify EAM system partner shift schedules according to established parameters to align all users within various business units to their role and crew within the system
  • Create work orders for change evaluations, asset activation/deactivation, location/structure class creation, maintenance projects, commissioning, walkdown, inspections
  • Develop, present and support the implementation of strategies and changes in program, process or procedure related to work programs and/or identified gaps or improvement opportunities
  • Lead and provide partner support in the development of work programs for GTAA vendors/service contractors
  • Provides customer focused knowledge to guide and support functional system managers and operators in the design, implementation and execution of respective work programs
  • Develops and provides summary analysis of EAM system reports for Risk Management, Shift Mangers, Functional Managers, Supervisors and all Business units
  • Reviews work results for ambiguities, changes to inventory, and comments. Reports all work accomplishment for compliance with standards adjusting as necessary

Qualifications:


  • Minimum an OSSGD Secondary School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three years of experience in a Maintenance Systems position
  • Experience in work with complex EAM software programs and a general understanding of planning, scheduling and reporting related to maintenance, asset management, airport operations and facilities management
  • Experience with database organization, configuration and setup
  • Experience with software implementation and access permission assignment/control
  • A valid class "G" Ontario Driver's license is required
  • Able to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Specialized knowledge of life cycle management and Enterprise Asset Management Systems. Ability to effectively develop a training presentation on various aspects of the EAM system
