Bulletproof and Retrofitted Motor Vehicle Assembly Coordinator (NOC 92020)

Bulletproof and Retrofitted Motor Vehicle Assembly Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing a high-level assistance, project management and administrative support for armored tactical, passenger protective, special, and custom bulletproof vehicles assembly projects in the competitive niche automotive industry sector.

This person should professionally coordinate assembly activities and be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and production efficiency in production, by performing a variety of tasks such as preparing work assignments, maintaining equipment, meeting deadlines, and complying with applicable policies and procedures.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Supervise & coordinate, general administration & support, schedule of project(s), special events and, adjust production staffing and capacity to effectively meet production deadlines and ensure compliance with daily schedule metrics
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments that impact production
  • Prepare projects documentation and reports, as required
  • Ensure maintaining consist of recognition, discipline, overtime distribution and timely responses to associate concerns
  • Coach associates on performance, quality, attendance issues, health & safety and completing corresponding documentation
  • Plan, requisition, schedule, manage equipment and raw materials so that all production deadlines are met
  • Evaluate component sizes, weights, tolerances, and characteristics
  • Resolve work problems, and preventive/corrective action (specifically root cause analysis); recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Develop knowledge of products, ballistic processes, equipment, and quality standards to develop/update standard work procedures
  • Ensure that company policy, and required regulations are followed by overseeing the safety of operations, training staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies, and
  • Perform other specific duties as directed.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in engineering, sciences, business, or other related discipline is required

Minimum
three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in armored vehicle manufacturing

  • Working experience identifying, scheduling, and evaluating vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair which includes related record keeping
  • Knowledge of armored/nonarmored vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
  • Ability to recognize armored/nonarmored vehicle performance problems and arrange for corrective action
  • Ability to analyze records, assess current needs, and project future armored/nonarmored vehicle and equipment needs
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks; computer literacy, including MS Word, and Excel
  • Ability to successfully engage and interact with all levels of workers in a multicultural environment
  • Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience and knowledge of the applicable safety standards with respect to automated equipment
  • Adept to change and constant improvement
