Reporting to the National Transport Manager, Master is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Transport Analyst to join our team and play a key role in improving operational efficiency, implementing process improvements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes across the entire network.


What you will accomplish with us:

  • Analyze transportation data, including costs, delivery times, routes and modes of transport used.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize transport operations, particularly in terms of cost reduction and improved efficiency.
  • Review and evaluate transportationrelated claims submitted by customers, carriers, or internal teams.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to determine the root cause of transportation issues leading to claims.
  • Collaborate with carriers, insurance companies, and legal teams when necessary.
  • Negotiate and settle claims within established guidelines and policies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all claimrelated activities.
  • Generate reports on claim trends, resolutions, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular updates to management on the status of claims and potential risks.
  • Review and approved invoices from carriers
  • Verify accuracy of invoices, ensuring proper coding and authorization.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to communicate key performance indicators, process improvements and project results to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Develop and establish performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness and track improvement progress.
  • Regularly monitor, report and analyze KPIs to identify trends, areas for improvement and optimization opportunities.
  • Participate in strategic planning of transport networks, taking into account operational requirements and logístical constraints.
  • Draft training materials, work procedures (SOPs) and process models.

What You Bring to Our Team:

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, able to work alone or as part of a team
  • Resultsoriented mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and achieving operational excellence
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management or a related field
  • 1 to 3 years' relevant experience in a similar position
  • Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and visualization tools
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL (mandatory) and PowerBI/Alteryx (mandatory)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (VBA required) and good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Visio an asset)
  • Knowledge/understanding of ERP and WMS software (SX Enterprise and TWL an asset)
  • Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with Master employees and suppliers based in our offices in Ontario, Western Canada and Maritimes, and interactions in French with suppliers and employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa).
