General Description:
The Raw Material Coordinator oversees the movement of raw materials from the receiving of the raw
material to the usage/disposal of the material.
With an analytical approach, will be able to monitor the cycle, counts, transfers, retests, and usage of materials in a first in a first-in-first-out manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for the receiving, storing, and distribution of raw materials.
- Perform all manufacturing production duties in compliance with work instructions, Standard
- Coordinate and assist with the check of raw materials for upcoming manufacturing batches and provide insight for scheduling of batches based on raw material availability.
- Issue transfer requests as required
- Issue components and raw materials for manufacturing lots as required.
- Responsible for raw material movement from receiving areas to staging areas to production rooms and maintenance of raw material bin locations
- Investigate discrepancies in raw material inventory, identify deficiencies, and provide solutions
- Conduct daily cycle counts and scheduled bin counts to Inventory component items as they go to zero balance.
- Sorts and places raw materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined area.
- Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping standards.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
- Work with the QA Department on released and expired raw materials
Work experience requirements:
Accustomed to working in a high-pressure factory atmosphere.
Ability to work well with peers and various departments within the company.
Regularly required to stand for up to 8 hours a day.
Able to lift, push or pull product and/or materials during the course of the workday by hand; lift truck or assisted by a forklift operator depending on size, quantity, etc.
Production and/or warehouse experience is preferred.
Basic knowledge of chemical raw materials.
WHIMS Training.
Educational requirements:
Diploma/Certificate in Chemistry and/or High School Diploma with five years of related
manufacturing experience
Good comprehension of the English language; ability to read and write English fluently.
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
