Role:


This role will manage the processing of all Local Vendor Costing & National Costing files as part of the new centralized Vendor portal system.

In addition, this role will set up and maintain Sysco Canada's SUPC (product codes) nationally. This role also includes project work required to maintain consistency to our item and costing across Canada.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Work with Local Vendors to transition onto Sysco Supplier Suite Portal to submit Costing.
  • Provide Training to Local Merchandising associates and vendors as required on changes to the new Local costing processes.
  • Review, approve and update National Costing on Local Vendors
  • Contribute creative and innovative continual improvements to the National Costing processes.
  • Process sites New to Canada item requests as well as new item setups submitted by National Account Managers (NAM's).
  • Complete all new Sysco branded SUPC code setups as well as setting up codes into MDM provided by our sister companies.
  • Complete ongoing Item updates as requested by Sites and Vendors, Item inactivation's to maintain consistent data to our Houston master file and purge Items that are no longer in use.
  • Standardize information related to SUPCs.
  • Collaborate with GS1, Corporate AS240 Systems, EDI, Central Billing, and other functional areas for ensuring that the item master data is properly setup as per process and meets standards.
  • Process large Item Master data updates as part of the cleanup of our master data
- and the continued to maintenance to ensure completeness and accuracy.

  • Contribute creative and innovative continual improvements to the Item data setup and data cleanse process.
  • Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Is willing to work safely with mínimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):


  • Minimum two (2+) years job related experience in Data Management and Business Analysis
  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Business or Finance required.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business is an asset.
  • Bilingual in French is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, time management, problem solving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Must be extremely detail and deadline oriented, a fast learner, and a multitasker.
