About ADM

About the Position
Responsible for efficient daily milling activities to assure operations are optimized.

Activities include operation of the milling process, prioritizing and assigning proactive and reactive milling maintenance, troubleshooting milling issues, maintaining quality product going to flour bins, monitoring wheat input with proper blending for protein specifications, moisture and cleaning, repairing day planning, procuring needed milling materials, controlling spare parts inventory for rolls, sifters, purifiers, and other milling equipment, managing hands on training for new and existing millers, ensuring best practice execution and performing work quality checks.

Work with the management team in continued development with the implementation of the Health & Safety programs, policies and procedures.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise the safe and efficient operation of the milling department
  • Adjust, maintain and repair all milling equipment in accordance with ADM Operational Milling Standards
  • Train and develop milling staff
  • Optimize mill yields, moistures, capacity and product quality
  • Maintain records & reports in accordance with established ADM policies and procedures
  • Assist in other departments as business needs arise
  • Follow the Management Operating System to achieve established goals for all production related parameters
  • Maintain Mill Sanitation at a level (BRC Certified) that meets the expectation of ADM Food Safety policies and procedures
  • Develop procedures that would improve (reduce) mill EDT levels on all mills
  • Any additional duties that may be required

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Requires an excellent command of the following: leadership, problem solving, selfmotivation and organizational skills
  • Proven experience with Highspeed production
  • Ensure a safe and productive work environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook) required.
  • Related Industry Knowledge
  • Good attention to detail & trouble shooting skills
