Shifts:
Rotating; Days, Nights & Afternoons


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership, direction and guidance to production personnel.
  • Must Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Site Allergen Program and HACCP Principles
  • Supervision, evaluation, motivation and training of personnel to ensure work is completed efficiently, effectively and safely
  • Ensure that safe conditions exist at all times within the work environment; will take appropriate action to protect the health and safety of employees
  • Ensure the efficient and effective use of manpower, equipment and material resources
  • Schedule equipment and personnel to ensure production requirements are met on a timely basis
  • Develop and foster strong and effective functional and crossfunctional teams that effectively change systems and procedures through the process of continuous improvement
  • Effectively use daily production information to track costs, measure trends, and communicate results, positively reenforce success and initiate corrective action when appropriate
  • Ensure the Company's food safety, quality and sanitation standards are met through close liaison with Quality Services, full participation in the HACCP program, as well as frequent review and implementation of Company and Government Policies
  • Administer environmental policies and ensure regulations are followed
  • Communicate with the Maintenance Department to maximize machine efficiencies and monitor equipment performance
  • Administer the Collective Agreement and maintain effective internal and external working relationships
  • Emergency Response Incident Commander
  • Responsible for facility on off shifts
  • Ensure production is done as per laid down customer's specification
  • Analyzing shift performance and communicating to employees
  • Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Grade 12 Education with good oral and written English skills
  • College diploma considered an asset
  • 13 years' experience in manufacturing in a Supervisor capacity _*In a food manufacturing is considered an asset*_
  • Working knowledge of computers (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with proven ability to work in an ESL work environment
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Must be selfmotivated, results oriented, possesses high degree of initiative, work well under pressure
  • Must be available to work shift work, holidays, and weekends, being on call.

$40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
