How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team:

The Clubhouse Lead will provide oversight of the daily clubhouse operations and employees, providing general work direction related to clubhouse functions maintaining health and safety standards.

The Clubhouse Lead ensures customer service protocols are adhered to and addresses escalated customer service inquiries and situations.

The Lead will source, propose, and implement revenue generating opportunities linked to the operations and will coordinate expenses, sales, and variances.

Must be flexible to work all required shifts, including weekends and holidays.


Major Responsibilities:


Perform the following tasks under general supervision:

  • Provide guidance and direction to seasonal staff and volunteer teams on day to day duties, and ensure all staff are working in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist supervisor in providing staff training and development on an ongoing basis; provide the supervisor with feedback on the teams' performance, providing recommendations regarding staff development and additional training needs.
  • Assist frontline staff with visitor inquiries and/or concerns as required in a tactful and professional manner.
  • Planning, Organization, & Implementation of tournaments and events.
  • Provide general direction to staff teams and assist in providing and enhancing visitor experiences within the facility by preparing areas for public use, including setting up prior to and cleaning up after day use, and engage with program or event organizers to ensure needs are met.
  • Provide support and assist the supervisor with oversight of the daily golf business operations.
  • Ensure accurate daily sales and banking as well as preparation of invoices for supervisor approval and payment.
  • Ensure documentation of all activities including but not limited to daily sales and banking, employee and visitor reports, general occurrence reports, rental agreements, event contracts, employee training etc.
  • Propose recommendations for revenue generation opportunities.
  • Assist with the acquisition of supplies and materials related to tasks.
  • Understand and adhere to all legislated requirements, TRCA policies and procedures, emergency procedures and Health and Safety legislation and standards.
  • Understand and follow responsible cash handling procedures as required.

What will you need to succeed:
Education (degree/diploma/certifications)

  • High school diploma.
  • Current Smart Serve Certification.
  • Current Food Handler's Certificate
  • Active and current Standard First Aid and CPR certificate is considered an asset.
Experience

  • Minimum two (2) years of golf operations experience in a golf pro shop environment.
  • Previous experience directing or leading a team is an asst.
Knowledge/Skill/Ability

  • Strong health and safety aptitude.
  • Good customer service skills, coupled with effective communication skills.
  • Experience handling and operation of small equipment is an asset.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Conflict resolution and deescalation skills.
  • General computer skills.
  • Must be flexible to work all required shifts, including weekends and holidays.
