Elements Casino Brantford is seeking a Server
Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Food & Beverage, this position is responsible for serving the guests at a counter, in a restaurant, bar and grill, on a casino floor, in a bar, at a special event or other areas.
Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities
- Greets guests by name wherever possible
- Escorts guests to a table when applicable; presents menus; informs guests of daily specials
- Explains how various menu items or beverages are prepared
- Takes the guest orders; makes recommendations
- Serves the guests; checks to ensure satisfaction
- Provides meal and or beverage service in compliance with departmental steps of service
- Prepares food and beverages if applicable and delivers to guest
- Resolves guests issues or asks management for assistance when needed
- Ensure accuracy of guest check and presents bill upon request; takes payment in the absence of a cashier and tenders guest checks into the POS system
- Cleans tables or counters; removes dishes; restocks where applicable
- Sets cleaned tables with all requirements for food service
- Performs opening or closing duties as detailed
- Performs reads at shift end (POS & Global Payments), prepares drop sheet filling out all required information, completes Cage and Audit drop according to policy and procedures
- Covers other servers' sections when on break or assists another server during high volumes working as team
- Exercises good judgment when serving alcoholic beverages and informs guests of our alcohol policies respectfully when serving alcohol
- Provides the bartenders with breaks when required in accordance with their detailed position description
- Communicates guest alcohol consumption with other servers and or bartenders and communicates with supervisor on duty as per our Alcohol Service Standards
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 1 year serving experience effective and serviceoriented communication
- POS experience
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely,
Work Environment Considerations
- Regular casino, restaurant or bar environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, odors; lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, nontraditional work hours
