The Highway Regional Operations delivers the highway capital, maintenance and stewardship programs across the province, ensuring that department standard and principles of sustainable development are met.
Provides front-line management and support for on-going stewardship functions, preserving safety, integrity, operational effectiveness, and legislative compliance with all highway assets.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Post secondary education in public administration, communication or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
- Strong political acumen with the ability to manage confidential and politically sensitive materials and situations in an appropriate manner.
- Experience in public relations including complex sensitive issues often with a noncooperative audience.
- Excellent verbal communication skills including the ability to facilitate meetings and clearly present complex issues to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent written communication skills including experience writing a variety of documents, such as speaking notes, reports, briefing materials, letters, policy papers, and authorityseeking documents.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage, prioritize and meet competing deadlines.
- Experience in public service preferably in either policy development or client liaison
Desired:
- Experience in conducting research and analysis for policy/project development and implementation using qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading complex projects in collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Duties:
As a member of the Highway Regional Operations Management Team, the incumbent will be a key point of contact for the regional program delivery and provide leadership, stakeholder engagement, support, strategic direction, development, coordination, recommendations, and support services to Stakeholders/Rights Holders (other departments, local governments, business community, indigenous communities and partners) and be the Region's primary contact for public and client relations.
