George Davison - AM program

The primary purpose of the Early Childhood Educator will provide additional programming opportunities for kindergarten aged children.

You will be responsible to deliver programming that engages children in holistic play-based activities through playful exploration and problem solving to develop a variety of literacy skills and physical well-being in an inclusive environment.

Qualifications:

Must have a certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.

The ability to provide programming to support learning through play with Flight: Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework as a guiding document.

Demonstrated a commitment to work collaboratively with teachers, educational assistants and administration to support student success.

Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in order to carry out effective programming for children and provide leadership for the Play & Learn team.

Exceptional planning and organizational skills.

Interpersonal skills that result in building positive relationships through effective communication with team members including parents.

An understanding of child development and experience working with children with diverse needs.

Ability to understand and follow ISP's and behavior support plans.

Completed SIVA training.
