Job Description:

What you're responsible for:

Generating and analyzing data for invoicing both internal and external customers
Answering customer questions and providing invoicing evidence
Identifying the differences between actual expenses and costs billed to the customer
Working with dispatch and supervisor to identify areas of weakness in the route planning process and provide valuable route optimization opportunities based on data driven analytics.
Auditing on all external domestic invoices, including inbound and outbound, brokers and drayage shipments
Preparing of monthly reports on operational and financial metrics and provide recommendations based on data analysis and research.
Providing ongoing analysis in areas such as transportation costs and delivery processes and analyzing and reporting on the performance of the Ontario transport department.
Establishing performance indicator reports and expense variance analyzes that will allow managers to understand the performance of the transportation department while supporting the development of process standardization for the transport department.

Qualifications:

To join our team:

University graduate with a focus in Business, Logistics, Finance or related field.
35 years of related experience in Accounting or Finance is required, with experience in freight or transportation preferred
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools
You are organized, analytical and pragmatic;
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
You are able to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships and maintain a level of professionalism at all times;
Strong sense of urgency
