The Opportunity:

The Driver Coordinator / Dispatcher is the main point of contact for their fleet by coaching, assisting and providing solutions to problems to maximize productivity of the drivers.

Note: This role will be based out of our Cambridge Office._

Key Accountabilities:

Communicating Toyota requirements / requests
Managing Toyota boards and partner carrier loads
Participating in and supporting driver retention initiatives
Maintaining driver relations and monitoring driver performance
Assisting with the development of the required driver skills such as customs, hours of service, satellites, etc.
Assisting with contingency planning for route coverage issues
Issuing Toyota reports as required
Notifying customer of all known delays and abnormal conditions
Assisting with solutions regarding any driver/supplier concerns
Performs other duties as required

What You Need To Be Successful In This Role:

Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a related role in transportation (e.g. dispatch)
Postsecondary degree or diploma
Knowledge of truckload dispatch an asset
ACE and Customs/border crossing experience an asset
AS400/ICC experience an asset
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Good communications skills (written and verbal)
Strong selfdiscipline and initiative
Creative and effective problem solving ability
Ability to work with mínimal supervision
Wellorganized, enthusiastic, professional and a positive team member
