What Will You Do?

To have a general knowledge of minor repairs involving equipment, minor welding, electrical, carpentry and preventative maintenance.
To do any "housekeeping" duties not covered by the contract cleaners i.e. painting, sweeping, shoveling.
On a daily basis do a "walkabout" throughout buildings looking for any lights out, washrooms, outside electrical cords, emptying garbage and recycle bins etc.
Communicate with manager regarding building maintenance, renovations and any local deliveries needed to be made.
Grounds keeping i.e., sweeping and snow removal from sidewalks and entrances. Sanding entrances, parking area, yard and wash bay property. Supervise Winter plowing and sanding as well as lawn and trimming requirements throughout the summer months.
Assist and cooperate with shops in the areas of maintenance with Supervisors guidance and approval.
Obtain approval from supervisor before purchasing. If there are standing P.O.'s at suppliers, approval still must be gained before purchasing.
Work in cooperation with all departments as renovations or repairs are required.
Review with manager or designate at the beginning of each work shift a list of jobs and their priority.
Clear all sidewalks and entrances of snow by 7:00 a.m.
Repair and maintain roll up overhead doors on the dock as well as the shop and wash bay.
Able to fill in with washing trailers and equipment when needed.
Willing to travel to _Sault Ste. Marie_ to do terminal repairs throughout the year.
Maintain H.A.C.C.P certifications by monitoring systems, and equipment that are in place at the terminal.
Maintain and service three pressure washer systems here in North Bay and one in _Sault Ste. Marie_
All other duties as required.

Who Are We Looking For?

Must be able to function in an environment that desires a high standard in following company policies and procedures.
AZ licensed required.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong organizational and time management skills
High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy
General fleet equipment aptitude would be an asset.
