Role overview

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Work closely with technical consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Review and validate test plans and activities to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
  • Validate and execute test scripts to verify system functionality and performance.
  • Collaborate with both business and IT teams to confirm test case expectations and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide support during system implementations and postimplementation support as needed.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks or issues related to project deliverables and timelines.
  • Maintain documentation and records related to system requirements, testing procedures, and project outcomes.

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Technical Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multifunctional teams.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integration and data field mapping.
  • Familiarity with IBM systems is a plus.
  • Thorough approach with strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) is preferred, but not required.

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Halifax, NS.
