Job Summary
Participates in and supports the operational activities of a business unit.

Applies experience and complete working knowledge of the job and policies/practices to perform a combination of routine tasks and varied administrative/operational assignments.


As the Compliance Officer (Summer Student), you will drive the quality of the Commercial Clients Margin & Covenant process from credit approval through to the funding stage.

What will you do?

  • Perform margins and covenants calculations
  • Provide consistent service, contributing to achieving business Client Service Commitments (CSC's)
  • Input of CFS clients' Annual Financial Statements data into FSS to be used for further financial analysis
  • Takes ownership to resolve client issues and concerns
  • Reviews transactions, reports and documents to ensure adherence to risk and compliance policies and procedures

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Currently enrolled at a postsecondary institution
  • Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken) required, as you will regularly do business with partners across Canada
  • Solid understanding of company financial statements
  • Experience in analyzing financial statements
  • Numbers oriented with strong attention to detail
  • Willing to work Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Nice-to-have

  • Business and risk management experience
  • Studying towards a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or work experience in Commercial Banking related field
