Department Overview

  • A national sales channel within TD responsible for acquisition of new Mortgage and Home Equity FlexLine business as well as facilitating the sale of Credit Protection. Reporting the SVP, Specialized Sales Force, the AVP MMS manages a regional team to deliver new customers to the bank and to contribute to the volume, profits and market share of TD's Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) portfolio.
  • Associate Vice Presidents (AVPs) at TD Bank Group contribute to the overall reputation of TD. As executives, AVPs help to set the ethical, organizational and performance standard for the teams they lead and exemplify how an effective performance and development culture functions day to day. An AVP is expected to guide his/her team, collaborating as appropriate with TD partners, to deliver excellent results in both the short and long term.

Job Details

  • Drive Regional RESL volumes and Credit Protection sales through execution of sales management practices, coaching, R&R, recruitment and external business development.
  • Execute key national & regional strategies through effective coaching, communications, and sales management
  • Provide ongoing performance & development coaching to District Managers & MMS on sales management, business development, & quality credit submissions, employee relations, and governance and control policies
  • Meet TD's risk appetite and regulatory expectations by being the first line of defense for all RESL activities between MMS, internal & external partners & customers
  • Ensure alignment of partners support/activities with CCO, RM's, RSM's, HR, CMHC, Genworth, FCT
  • Develop strong external partnerships with Realtors, Builders & other COIs
  • Partner with Retail & other businesses (ONE TD) to own the local market
  • Execute talent strategies that build future leaders, increase advice/specialization capabilities for complex customer needs, develop a pipeline of talent for other areas of the bank, attract top talent from OFI
